Catwalk for a Cause fundraiser - 02/15/2018

Lake Norman Kiwanis President Jim Christol presents a $500 check to Emily Brown representing the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation. Their annual Catwalk for a Cause fundraiser gives brave kids battling cancer the chance to dress up in “fashion” and be the center of attention and applause as they are escorted up and down the  Catwalk by some of NASCAR’s top drivers.

Key Leader Grant - 02/10/2018

Past Kiwanis Carolinas District Governor and current President of the Carolinas District Kiwanis Foundation (CDKF) Gary Cooper presents a $4,000.00 check to Laurie Nappier for the Key Leader Weekend.  These funds will be used to significantly lower the cost of the weekend for attending High School students. Laurie is the President Elect of the Lake Norman Kiwanis Club and the Committee Chair for the Carolinas District Key Leader Program. The Carolinas District covers all of North and South Carolina.

LKN Kiwanis honored as Distinguished Club - 02/10/2018

The Lake Norman Kiwanis Club was honored as a Distinguished Club and received several Membership Growth Awards at the MidYear Conference. Immediate Past President Donnie Ellis received the Distinguished Club President Pin and Jim Mooney was named as a Distinguished Club Secretary.

They elected Donnie Ellis from our Lake Norman Kiwanis Club to be Lt. Governor Division 7 for the 2018-2019 Kiwanis Year beginning 1 Oct 2018. Congratulations Donnie!

The Lake Norman Kiwanis Club sent 5 delegates to the Kiwanis Carolinas District MidYear Conference 9-11 Feb 2018 held at the University Hilton in Charlotte NC. We were honored to sit at the Head Table with Carolinas District Governor Mary Jo Brubaker at the Saturday luncheon.

Kiwanis Makes Final Payment to the Town for Splashville Park - 11/09/2017

In a signficant milestone, the Lake Norman Kiwanis presented to the Town of Cornelius the final $8,000.00 check for the building of Splashville Park. Pictured are Mayor Chuck Travis, Troy Fitzsimmons, Jim Christol, Ronnie Potts and the lucky winner of the last Kiwanis Splashville Park T-Shirt Mike Archer. The banner shows the many sponsors that were instrumental in helping the Kiwanis complete this $150,000.00 Community Service Project for the Lake Norman Community.

2017 Golf Tournament a Success - 08/26/2017

The weather was perfect for our annual golf tournament. Thanks to all our sponsors including our newest sponsors, Digital Rain, Keller Williams LLKN Realty, Puma Realty, and Massage Heights.  And a special shoul out to Prosciutto's Pizzeria & Pub provided a delicious lunch for our golfers and Adams provided adult beverages!  Be sure to check out more pictures on the Event Photos page.
